QB battle is too close to call for CBA football, so the Brothers will play both

Colonie - Since taking over as CBA's football coach in 2021, Bobby Burns has had a quarterback named Jones leading the team to success in Class AA sectionals. Archie Jones, Donnie Jones, and Jake Iacobaccio have all played the position over the past five seasons, with CBA reaching the Super Bowl each time and winning the first four games.

This season, senior Matt Kowalski and sophomore Leo Field will share the starting duties. Burns plans to use both quarterbacks, as they have different skill sets. Kowalski is more athletic, while Field possesses a better pocket passing ability. Both players are eager to compete and prove themselves, with Kowalski emphasizing his progress since last season and Field highlighting his natural quarterback talent.

Both are confident in their abilities and committed to pushing each other as they prepare for their season opener against Archbishop Stepinac on September 4.
