Our priority is to win the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League title – FC Samartex GM

FC Samartex General Manager Edmund Ackah has expressed the club's ambition to claim the Ghana Premier League title for the 2026/27 season. The Timber Boys, champions three years ago, currently occupy the fifth position in the 2025/26 standings with 50 points. As the new season commences in September, Ackah asserts that the team is resolute in making a significant title bid while also aspiring to excel in the GHALCA Top 4 tournament.

Speaking on Asempa FM's Ultimate Sports Show, Ackah stated, "Our primary focus is to secure the Ghana Premier League title and achieve success in the upcoming season, but we are also striving to perform impressively in the GHALCA Top Four tournament." Samartex has already ramped up their preparations for the new campaign, participating in the Nsenkyire Cup.

Now, their focus shifts towards the GHALCA Top 4 tournament, which commences at the University of Ghana Stadium. The Timber Boys will kick off their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League journey with an away match against Karela United on Sunday, September 6.
