Nigeria, Thailand to expand bilateral ties in technology, agriculture, renewable energy

Vice-President Kashim Shettima and a delegation from Thailand discussed expanding bilateral ties in areas such as renewable energy, technology, agriculture, and commerce during a meeting in Abuja, Nigeria. Shettima emphasized the need to review existing partnerships at a strategic level, highlighting Nigeria's potential as a market for investment in agriculture, ICT, renewable energy, and solid minerals.

Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Yousef Hassan Khalawi, praised Nigeria's transformation under President Bola Tinubu and proposed a new partnership called the Thailand-Africa Initiative to strengthen economic ties, people-to-people relations, and cooperation in agriculture.
