Nauseda: Ratcliffe’s Moscow visit known in advance; results expected next week

Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that Ukraine resumed drone attacks on Moscow just hours after CIA Director John Ratcliffe visited the city. The attacks came about a day after Russia agreed to a U.S. request not to launch strikes against Moscow during Ratcliffe's unannounced visit. According to Sobyanin, at least 10 drones were shot down before they reached their target.

Emergency services specialists were working at the crash site of the debris that resulted from the attack on a Wildberries e-commerce facility in the city of Kotovsk, causing a fire that covered an area of over 100,000 square meters. Russian authorities reported flight restrictions at three international airports in Moscow due to the overnight attacks, as well as temporary flight restrictions in 16 other Russian regions.

Ukrainian drone interceptions over 15 Russian regions and occupied Crimea were reported by the Russian Defense Ministry. Wildberries confirmed that their logistics center was damaged in the attack. Russian officials also reported that a drone attack caused fires at an industrial facility and several residential buildings in Nizhny Novgorod, with one industrial facility, several residential buildings, and cars sustaining damage.

The Ukrainian defense company Fire Point claimed responsibility for the attacks on both the Wildberries facility in Tambov and the oil refinery in Nizhny Novgorod. Three Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles were shot down over the Black Sea in Crimea, while an attack on a home in the Lipetsk region resulted in two deaths and nine injuries.
