Morgan International Community School (MICS) graduates were urged to blend technological abilities with strong moral and ethical values during the 13th Awards and 10th Graduation Ceremony, held in the Central Region. National Identification Authority (NIA) Executive Secretary, Mr Wisdom Kwaku Daku, emphasized that while technology rapidly advances, it cannot replace human traits like compassion, integrity, empathy, and moral judgement.
At the event, Ms Henrietta Afua Otuah Otoo received her award, and the ceremony was held under the theme: ‘Innovation with Purpose: Shaping Africa’s Future in the Age of AI.’
Daku highlighted that the jobs of the future will demand digital skills, problem-solving abilities, ethical judgement, and adaptability. He stressed that AI is powerful, but wisdom remains a human responsibility. He further urged Africa to embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) and replicate its unique solutions, as the continent holds the talent, creativity, and resilience necessary to create AI that reflects its values and addresses its challenges.
The NIA is also adopting technological innovations, including AI, in its operations, with the deadline for mandatory biometric verification for all identity checks involving the Ghana Card set for November 2, 2026.
MICS school founder, Nana Osomfo Kweku Nkrumah Danquah I, stated that the institution aims to produce quality and competent students capable of becoming problem-solvers for Ghana, Africa, and the world. The Headmaster encouraged graduates to remain curious and courageous while building character, collaborating, and serving with purpose.
