Levaduramadre da el salto a América con su llegada a Puerto Rico

Levaduramadre, a bakery and pastry group, has made its first foray into the American market with the opening of its first store in Puerto Rico. The company has established its base in Bayamón, a city located north of the island, close to the capital, San Juan. The store will feature an in-house baker to produce daily all their products, a coffee area, an outdoor terrace, and a meeting room capable of accommodating up to 80 people.

Levaduramadre's arrival in Puerto Rico follows the company's expansion efforts abroad, which began last year in Andorra, under the ownership of Comess Group, the parent company of brands Lizarrán, Pomodoro, Cantina Mariachi, Don G, and Casa García. The company aims to significantly expand its chain in the coming years, both in Spain and internationally.

Levaduramadre closed 2025 with a total of 167 outlets, with its presence being particularly significant in Madrid, where it operates 106 stores, followed by Catalonia and the Valencian Community, with 28 and 17 stores, respectively. Additionally, the company operates in eight other autonomous communities, with five stores in Andalusia, four in the Basque Country, two in Asturias and Aragon, and one each in the Balearic Islands, Castilla y León, Murcia, and Extremadura.

This year, Levaduramadre has launched a strategic partnership with Repsol for opening stores in its service stations, where they already have 16 active points of sale, with plans to reach 80 new stores before the end of 2027. The bakery company closed 2025 with a revenue of 49.3 million euros, representing a 16% growth compared to the previous year. Projections for the current year aim to exceed 60 million euros in revenue.
