Italy preparing new aid package for Ukraine

Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto has announced that Italy is preparing a new aid package for Ukraine, according to ANSA. Once finalized by the Ministry of Defense and other agencies, the President of the parliamentary intelligence service oversight body, COPASIR, will be asked to explain the package to its members. Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that the aid package will be provided as soon as possible.

Tajani emphasized that Italy remains committed to supporting Ukraine, with support extending beyond supplying weapons. The country is currently aiding Kyiv with political, financial, and energy assistance, particularly as winter approaches, making energy assistance especially crucial. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has also promised continued humanitarian assistance to Ukraine throughout the upcoming winter season.
