IGP: Police awaiting Indonesia report on Malaysian couple arrested over drug-laced vapes

PASIR MAS, Aug 26 — The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) are still awaiting a complete report from Indonesian authorities regarding the arrest of a Malaysian man and his Indonesian girlfriend in the country over alleged drug-laced vapes. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail stated that the PDRM has not yet received the full report, and will wait for it before making any further announcements.

"We still have not received a full report, so I will wait for the report from there and I will make sure that if there is any new development, I will make sure that we inform reporters," he said after visiting the illegal Lubok Gong base in Rantau Panjang today. The media recently reported that a 22-year-old Malaysian was arrested with his 35-year-old girlfriend in Medan, Indonesia last week, suspected of distributing electronic cigarettes or vapes containing drugs. According to Antara News, the couple was taken into custody with 29 vapes containing drug liquids.
