Hyderabad Police Commissioner wishes public on Milad-un-Nabi

On August 26, 2026, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar expressed his well wishes to the public on the celebration of Milad-un-Nabi. The Commissioner honored Prophet Mohammad as "messenger of peace" and noted that the central milad procession has, thus far, remained peaceful. The procession commenced from the historic Mecca Masjid and arrived at Charminar at 2 p.m. Collaboration between the Police and the Markazi Milad Juloos Committee ensured the safety of the event, as 2,000 personnel, including rapid action force, law and order police, traffic police, Task Force and SHE Teams, were deployed throughout the city to monitor the procession.

Concerning traffic violations, the Police Commissioner highlighted instances of reckless riding and stunts on two and three-wheelers observed in previous years. He urged the youth to refrain from engaging in such irresponsible behavior, warning that the consequences would fall upon their parents if they were affected by traffic offenses. The Commissioner emphasized the importance of promoting responsible riding and protecting the well-being of the community.
