Hilman tak tolak kemungkinan Adun Bersatu Selangor sokong MB

Selangor's Bersatu deputies, Hilman Idham and Rafiq Abdullah, have not ruled out the possibility of their party supporting the administration of Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari until the term is up. The two deputies acknowledged that such cooperation is not impossible, given Bersatu's historical alliances with various political parties, including Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan.

Hilman, who is also the president of Bersatu Pemuda, hinted at the potential for Selangor's Bersatu to adopt a similar approach as their Pahang counterparts, even though the People's Alliance (PH) holds sufficient support to govern the state. During the 2023 PRN, PH won 32 out of 56 DUN seats, while Perikatan Nasional (PN) secured 22 seats composed of 12 Bersatu and 10 PAS members, with the Barisan Nasional (BN) taking only two seats.

Earlier, two Selangor Bersatu deputies, Jasri Jamaludin and Mohd Yazid Mohd Yunus, from Kuala Sentul and Lepar constituencies respectively, expressed their party's endorsement of Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail until the next PRN. This stance was approved by Bersatu's leadership, taking into consideration the need to ensure political stability in the state.

According to Faizal Azumu, Bersatu's deputy president, both Selangor deputies have informed the party leadership about their desire to support Wan Rosdy, with the final decision resting with the party. "The party's political machinery, led by Bersatu President Muhyiddin Yassin, examined the matter from all angles, and essentially supports this step," he said.
