Hankook Tire Sweeps Six Accolades at the 2026 Red Dot Design Awards

Hankook Tire has been awarded six accolades in the Design Concept category at the 2026 Red Dot Design Awards. The company achieved the highest success rate, with all six entries receiving recognition. The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world's leading design competitions, alongside Germany's iF Design Award and the U.S.-based International Design Excellence Awards.

Hankook Tire's innovative designs, such as the i-Flex Gen 2 and Medi Buddy, showcase a vision for future mobility and sustainability. The i-Flex Gen 2 features an industry-first circumferential spoke structure, which enhances noise reduction and high-speed stability. The smart medical mobility system, Medi Buddy, was developed through a collaboration with the Korea Institute of Design Promotion's Korea Design Membership Plus (KDM+), and uses AI and autonomous driving technologies to create a comforting experience for hospitalized children.

Hankook Tire has previously won the Red Dot Award's highest honor, the Luminary, in 2015, and has also earned an iF Gold Award and an IDEA Bronze Award in 2016 and 2017. This is the first time a tire company has achieved a grand slam of the world's top three design awards.
