Gazprom Arena keeps rescheduling a Kanye West concert in St. Petersburg, Russia, that it still hasn’t agreed to hold

The Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg is currently negotiating with organizers for Kanye West's concerts but has not yet agreed to host the events. Initially, on August 24, the venue's representatives stated they had not signed any agreement to rent the stadium for Kanye West's performances, meaning the concerts would not occur. Now, however, the facility has informed reporters that "the dates will most likely be pushed back."

The maximum delay considered is six to nine days, though Gazprom Arena's press service has not provided specific new dates. The venue has also asked Kanye West's fans "not to worry." A source within Gazprom Arena, however, revealed to the St. Petersburg newspaper Fontanka that no discussions to reschedule the concerts were taking place, and the stadium's stance had not changed: without a signed rental agreement, the concerts could not proceed.

Kanye West had been scheduled to perform at Gazprom Arena on October 10 and 11, with the organizers claiming they had sold over 100,000 tickets. Both Gazprom Arena and the soccer club Zenit had previously announced the concerts on their social media platforms. Reports suggested on August 24 that the events had not received approval from authorities and were canceled due to a "call from above" from Moscow.
