EXCLUSIVE: Delta’s DDPA Official's Personal Account Linked To N1Billion Transactions Amid Disputed Reallocation Of Housing Plots

Delta's DDPA official is at the center of a dispute over N1 billion in transactions related to six housing plots at the DDPA Housing Estate in Ugborikoko, Effurun, Delta State. Allegations suggest soldiers entered the property, dismantled its fence and gate, and claimed ownership. Documents review reveals discrepancies in the valuation and transfer of the plots, with MOM Property Limited paying N53 million in 2009, while in 2025, Bravematt Property and Investment Limited was said to have paid N5.239 million for the same plots.

The discrepancy in the transaction amount has raised questions about the true value of the property and the legitimacy of the 2025 payment. Additionally, there are concerns about the payment made by a DDPA official, Joseph Onogharigho Onyeme, through his personal Zenith Bank account into a DDPA bank account. The transaction, reportedly for N5.239 million, originated from Onyeme's personal account rather than Bravematt's.

However, DDPA issued a receipt in Bravematt's name, creating confusion over the transaction's legitimacy. The controversy also includes allegations of improper payments exceeding N1 billion through Onyeme's personal account, as well as the involvement of soldiers, police officers, and DSS personnel in the property dispute. The EFCC and other authorities are currently investigating these matters.
