Enbridge buying Salt Creek Midstream’s crude oil gathering business for US$600M

Calgary - Energy company Enbridge Inc. has announced it has reached an agreement to acquire Salt Creek Midstream's crude oil gathering business in the Delaware Basin for a sum of US$600 million in cash. The transaction includes complete ownership of the Orla and Wink North systems, as well as a 50% stake in the Delaware Crossing system.

These systems cover approximately 800 kilometres of crude oil gathering infrastructure that serves more than 20 producers in New Mexico and Texas. The combined systems have a throughput capacity of 420,000 barrels per day and store 350,000 barrels. Enbridge's executive vice-president and president, Colin Gruending, stated that the deal will deepen the company's presence in the Permian Basin by adding a highly connected crude gathering platform.
