Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's Beta Will Be Playable on Switch 2 for Free This Weekend

Starting this weekend, Nintendo Switch 2 owners can experience Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 without paying a dime. The beta version of the game will launch on August 28 at 10 AM PDT, allowing players to try out various aspects of the game. This includes campaign levels, multiplayer matches, and the popular Battle Royale mode, Warzone.

The Switch 2 version of the game will include unique features like gyro controls, Joy-Con mouse controls, and the ability to play it in handheld mode. Additionally, players will have free access to the game's Vault Edition content, which features special skins and weapon blueprints. This marks the first time a Call of Duty game has been available on a Nintendo platform since Call of Duty: Ghosts on Wii U, and it's the result of a partnership between Digital Legends and Infinity Ward.

Xavier Carrillo-Costa, the studio head of Digital Legends, expressed excitement about delivering the authentic Call of Duty experience on Nintendo Switch 2. With Microsoft's decade-long deal to bring Call of Duty games to Nintendo platforms, the future looks bright for Nintendo fans who enjoy the franchise.
