Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta Pushes Unplanned Update to Address Fan Feedback

Infinity Ward has released an unplanned update for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta to address fan feedback regarding spawns. The first weekend of the beta is nearing its end, and while Infinity Ward has stated that this update is just an early piece of a larger improvement, it is now live in all modes except Hardpoint. Changes for Hardpoint will be introduced during the second weekend of the beta.

The studio has been more responsive to fan feedback than in its previous Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 2 (2022), which faced criticism for ignoring player concerns. Infinity Ward's Joe Cecot acknowledged the studio's past mishaps and promised improvements in communication and responsiveness for Modern Warfare 4. The second beta weekend for Modern Warfare 4 begins on August 28 at 10 AM PT, with the full game releasing on October 23, followed by early access to the campaign on October 16.
