Caleb Amisi announces grassroots mobilisation of People’s Renaissance Movement with Nakuru tour

Caleb Amisi, a member of the People's Renaissance Movement (PM) Party, has unveiled a plan to launch grassroots engagements throughout Kenya in preparation for the 2027 General Election. The announcement came in a statement released on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, as the party concluded its internal organizational work and established the legal frameworks necessary for the electoral campaign.

Amisi emphasized that the party has adopted the organizational lessons learned from former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, stating that they are now ready to reach voters directly in their homes. The grassroots mobilization will commence in Eburu Mbaruk, located in Nakuru County, signifying the party's entry into the political arena.

Following the tour in Nakuru County, the party plans to extend its grassroots activities to Tharaka-Nithi on September 6, 2026, and subsequently cover other regions across the nation, including Taita Taveta, Kilifi, Mombasa, Likoni, Kwale, Thika, Makueni, Busia, Vihiga, Nandi, Kakamega, Bungoma, and Trans Nzoia.

Amisi expressed the party's commitment to fulfilling its generational duty, urging everyone to contribute to the cause for the benefit of future generations. This initiative marks a new phase for the PM Party as it endeavors to establish itself at the grassroots level and build support ahead of the upcoming elections.

The announcement followed the party's National Delegates Convention, during which members proposed Amisi to become the party leader. Formed by a group of young individuals, the People's Renaissance Movement aims to bring about change in society, with Amisi serving as a prominent figure as the party endeavors to solidify its structures and expand its outreach ahead of the 2027 general election.
