BMW driver dies after crashing into parked cars in Bukit Mertajam, two others hurt

BUKIT MERTAJAM - A fatal accident occurred on Jalan Baru in Taman Pauh on August 26, claiming the life of a BMW driver and injuring two others, including a pedestrian. The Penang Fire and Rescue Department was alerted to the crash at 2:31 am, and a rescue team arrived at the scene nine minutes later. The vehicle involved was a BMW, while the other cars were a Perodua Myvi and a Proton Persona, both of which were stationary on the road shoulder when the incident took place.

The BMW driver and a passenger were trapped in the vehicle, and firefighters used special equipment to extricate them at 3:22 am. The BMW driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two occupants were treated by the Health Ministry medical team and transported to Seberang Jaya Hospital for further care. The victim's body was also sent to the same hospital for further action.
