Astronauts install new antenna during ISS spacewalk

During a spacewalk lasting over six hours, French astronaut Sophie Adenot and her US colleague Anil Menon successfully installed a new antenna on the International Space Station (ISS), according to NASA. The replacement antenna, crucial for maintaining communication between the ISS and NASA's Houston control center, was initially installed after the astronauts removed a faulty unit during a previous spacewalk.

The new antenna's connection was confirmed through initial tests. NASA's announcement was made on August 25, 2026, and emphasized that communication with the ISS remained uninterrupted throughout the procedure.
