ADC demands Immediate arrest of Kuje council Chair

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Kuje Area Council Chairman, Mr. Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo, following his declaration that residents must vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) or leave the council area. The opposition party described the statement as a "threat of forced displacement" that contravenes Sections 40, 41 and 42 of the Nigerian Constitution.

ADC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, likened the remark to that of APC Senator Francis Fadahunsi, who threatened opposition voters during the Osun governorship election and was questioned but not charged. ADC urged President Bola Tinubu to clarify his own statement, "all is fair in politics," and to take action against those who have taken his words as license for intimidation and voter suppression.
