2027: APC campaign council list stands, adjustments coming – Presidency

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list for the 2027 election remains in place, according to the Presidency. However, adjustments will be made to the structure, as clarified by Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare. This announcement came amidst controversy over the council's composition, particularly the inclusion and exclusion of certain party leaders.

Dare emphasized that the list was not withdrawn and that adjustments would only be made where necessary. The ongoing formation of subcommittees would provide room for additional party members and stakeholders to be accommodated within the campaign structure. The council, announced over the weekend, has President Tinubu as chairman, Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as vice chairmen, Abdul'aziz Yari as Director-General, and Hope Uzodimma as secretary.
