Vote for The Enquirer's Spirit Award honoring cheer, dance teams

The Cincinnati Enquirer has launched a voting poll for its Spirit Award, an annual recognition of cheerleaders and dance teams. Fans and school supporters can participate by voting on two weekly ballots: one for individual performances and another for team achievements. Coaches nominate eligible squads and individuals, focusing on those who embody virtues such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Eligible teams include varsity girls and boys cheerleaders and dancers who uplift their squads, fellow students, and the community through their actions.

Winners of the Spirit Award will be announced in a Friday feature, receiving digital certificates and the opportunity to share photographs of those certificates in an upcoming gallery. Coaches can contact mlaughman@enquirer.com for any queries, to subscribe to the email distribution list, or to submit nominations, with the deadline set for every Monday by noon.

This week's ballot includes nominations for Lucy Barnes from Bishop Fenwick, Malia Crawford from Winton Woods, Aubrey Eustice from Taylor, Skylar Fockler from South Dearborn, Jesslyn Roberts from Milford, and Maddy Yenser from Lakota East. Each nominee exemplifies qualities such as leadership, commitment, creativity, and the ability to inspire others, making them deserving candidates for the Spirit Award.
