Vice President in Kigali for Africa Mindset Forum

Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of Ghana, has traveled to Kigali, Rwanda, to attend the Africa Mindset Forum. The forum will be held on August 25-26 at the Kigali Convention Centre. Organized by the Africa School of Governance, the event is a significant Africa-led gathering focused on leadership mindset and cultural transformation required for the continent's development.

According to the forum's organizers, Africa's primary challenge lies in effectively leveraging its vast potential, resources, geography, and history to drive global growth. The true question, they argue, is how to organize these assets: establishing our own agenda, mobilizing capital, constructing institutions, mastering technology, and delivering on a large scale.

This transformation necessitates a shift in mindset, as the current methods will not suffice. The forum will address how Africa can enhance governance, institutions, and execution to expedite development. Prominent African leaders from politics, business, academia, and civil society are participating in the event, which is expected to draw around 2,500 delegates.
