Vedanta deploys portable rigs for gold, critical mineral exploration in Chhattisgarh

Vedanta Ltd has recently introduced portable drilling rigs for gold and critical mineral exploration in the state of Chhattisgarh. The company announced the deployment of these rigs at two of its flagship exploration projects, which are focused on the extraction of valuable minerals such as nickel, chromium, and platinum group elements.

The portable rigs, which are considered heavy-duty mechanical systems, boast the ability to drill up to 1,000 meters deep, a significant improvement over the usual range of 300-400 meters. This advancement enables expedited exploration without the need for frequent location changes.
