UWC to step up efforts on air defense, sanctions against Russia – meeting with Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy convened a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) to discuss bolstering support for Ukraine globally. Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the UWC for their active efforts in strengthening Ukraine and amplifying its voice internationally. He emphasized the critical need to collaborate with governments, parliaments, and communities worldwide to enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities, intensify pressure on Russia, and secure increased financial aid.

The Ukrainian World Congress pledged to intensify their efforts in defending Ukraine's airspace, applying sanctions against Russia, and facilitating the country's entry into the European Union. They also conveyed their appreciation to Ukrainians working tirelessly on the ground in Ukraine, praising their bravery and dedication.

President Zelenskyy honored Jurij Klufas, president of the Ukrainian National Association of Canada, with the Order of Merit, Third Class, and recognized Christian Boris, founder of the Saint Javelin organization, for the Golden Heart distinction bestowed by the President of Ukraine.
