Nan's floods: Turning water into wisdom
For those of us who know Thailand, Nan is more than a province on the map. Its mountains, forests, farms and rivers are part of the natural heritage of our country. When Nan floods, we should see not only the immediate suffering of its people, but also a warning about how Thailand must prepare for a future in which extreme weather may become more disruptive.
