Ukraine slowly losing war without systemic changes and innovation – Fedorov

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has warned that Ukraine is slowly losing the war against Russia and has only a few months to make crucial decisions that could alter the outcome. In an interview with Reuters, Fedorov described the situation as a "turning point" that could determine the country's future path. He maintained that Ukraine still has every chance of winning the war, but emphasized the urgent need for a comprehensive plan to achieve victory.

According to Fedorov, the primary challenges facing Ukraine are a lack of a unified vision for success, insufficient adoption of technology, and entrenched corruption and patronage networks. Despite possessing the potential to win through the development of autonomous drones with artificial intelligence, low-cost interceptor missiles, and its own ballistic missile program, Ukraine lacks a cohesive strategy for deploying these technologies effectively.

Fedorov further stated that the country's state institutions are only functioning at a minimal five percent capacity, hindering the full utilization of available technological advancements.

Fedorov argued that existing technologies capable of neutralizing Russian forces are not being utilized due to the absence of a clear vision for their implementation. He stressed that the lack of a comprehensive strategy is preventing Ukraine from fully leveraging the potential of these technological developments, ultimately resulting in a gradual and slow defeat in the ongoing conflict with Russia.
