SpaceX to build Starship spaceport in Louisiana

SpaceX has announced plans to construct a Starship launch site in southern Louisiana, according to a deal revealed on Tuesday with the state's governor. The company intends to start building its fourth spaceport, named Starbase, Louisiana, next year. This new location will broaden SpaceX's Starship launch operations beyond their existing facility in southern Texas, with the goal of supporting thousands of Starship flights annually.

The self-sustaining Starbase will feature propellant production, power generation, deep-water shipping, vehicle processing facilities, and an airport.
