SpaceX to build Starship spaceport in Louisiana

SpaceX is set to establish a Starship launch site in southern Louisiana, as announced on Tuesday by the company and the state's governor. The project, named Starbase, Louisiana, is expected to commence construction of its fourth spaceport next year, according to SpaceX. This new location will broaden the company's Starship launch operations beyond its current base in southern Texas, and it is designed to accommodate thousands of Starship flights annually.

The self-sustaining spaceport will feature propellant production, power generation, deep-water shipping capabilities, vehicle processing facilities, and an airport, as detailed by SpaceX.
