Sean Payton on the signing of safety Taylor Rapp: “It was more availability than necessity”

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton discussed the signing of veteran safety Taylor Rapp with the media today. Payton explained that their primary motivation for signing Rapp was not a pressing need for a safety, but rather the fact that he was a talented player available for them to sign. Locke to free agency. The veteran safety will provide the team with additional insurance in case key safeties Talanoa Hufanga or Brandon Jones miss time during the season. Payton expressed satisfaction with the signing, stating that it fills a significant gap on the roster.
