RCI TH bukan alat puaskan kepentingan politik, kata Kamil

RCI, or the Royal Malaysian Commission of Inquiry, has released a report on the Tabung Haji (TH) that does not serve as a tool for political gain, according to Kamil Munim, the PKR Youth chief. The report did not favor the narrative of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Umno parties, prompting them to demand the establishment of a new RCI to re-examine the issue of TH management.

However, Kamil contends that if there is any misinformation in the RCI report, those involved should present evidence rather than merely rejecting the findings due to their lack of political alignment. Should there be new evidence or conflicting facts, they must be disclosed openly. This approach, he argues, is indicative of a mature democracy, rather than one that seeks to re-establish RCI merely because it favors a specific outcome.

RCI's report, released last month, criticized the management of TH from 2014 to 2020, raising questions about the party's true intentions. Kamil insists that the desire for a new RCI is evidence of their unwillingness to seek the truth, but rather their wish to secure an outcome that aligns with their political narrative. He urges all parties to refrain from using TH as a tool for political maneuvering, emphasizing that the institution belongs to millions of depositors and should be protected based on facts, evidence, and solid arguments. Kamil calls on PN and Umno to cease exploiting the nation's institution for political gain.
