‘Prasidh Krishna has done the donkey’s job for 2-3 years’: Morne Morkel

Morne Morkel, the bowling coach for India, has praised Prasidh Krishna for his exceptional performance in recent matches. Despite the challenging conditions, the seamer has delivered outstanding spells, taking 3/47 in 14 overs in the recent Test match. Morkel noted that the biggest change in Prasidh was mental, as he learned to ignore outside distractions and focus on his game.

The tall seamer's dedication to research on the opposition and his intense work ethic have contributed to his growth as a world-class bowler. Morkel emphasized that Prasidh's short-ball role is a deliberate tactical choice, and the team relies on him for those risky but potentially rewarding moments. He acknowledged that such donkey jobs are tough, but Prasidh has handled them admirably over the past two or three years.
