Gua Musang, Aug 25 — A 35-year-old plantation supervisor was gravely injured following a machete attack at a workers' quarters in Kampung RKT Kesedar Chalil, according to police. The incident unfolded around 3:15 pm when a group of men, thought to be representatives of a company operating in the area, arrived at the quarters to inquire about permits for entering a forest reserve.
Tensions escalated when a man was allegedly assaulted by two individuals from the group. A fellow plantation worker who tried to intervene became the target of the attackers, who wielded machetes, iron rods, and wooden clubs.
The injured supervisor suffered multiple serious injuries, including a shattered left arm, a fractured shinbone, a tendon injury in his left leg, bruising and swelling around his left eye, and a nosebleed. Gua Musang police chief Supt Sik Choon Foo stated that the case is under investigation under Sections 326 and 148 of the Penal Code.
