NaMATA announces senior job vacancies; here’s how to apply

The Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (NaMATA) has recently announced ten senior job vacancies in various departments to bolster its management team. The authority issued an invitation for applications on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The positions available include Deputy Director roles in Infrastructure Development, Network Management, Corporate Policy, Research and Strategy, Legal Services, and Assistant Director roles in the same areas, Human Resource and Administration, and Supply Chain Management.

The specific salaries and benefits for these positions will be determined by the Board, following guidelines from the State Corporations Advisory Committee (SCAC) and consultation with the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC). Prospective candidates must possess the necessary qualifications outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya and must submit valid clearance certificates from relevant institutions, such as the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

NaMATA, a State Corporation established under the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority Order of 2017 (Legal Notice No. 18 of 2017), operates within the five counties that make up the Nairobi Metropolitan Area.
