China says its cooperation with Iran should not be disrupted

BEIJING: China's cooperation with Iran must remain unimpeded, according to a statement from the country's foreign ministry on Tuesday, Aug 25, in response to recent US sanctions against Iran. Spokesperson Lin Jian emphasized that China adheres to international law in its dealings with Iran and will take all necessary actions to protect its rights and interests.

The US recently announced sanctions targeting 60 individuals, entities, and vessels, aiming to restrict Iran's economic resources, but refrained from implementing the most stringent measures.
