MBWP perkenal 2 inisiatif berimpak tinggi untuk orang muda

Kementerian Belia Wilayah Persekutuan (MBWP) unveiled two high-impact initiatives, Batik Seri Madani and Malaysia Film Industry Expo (MFIX), to expand job opportunities and enhance youth engagement in the nation's creative economy. Presiding over the introduction, Khairul Rizam Abu Samah explained that both concepts aim to commercialize local art, cultivate the creativity of young people, and position them as owners of the creative economy as entrepreneurs, intellectual property holders, and strategic partners in the industry.

The creative sector holds immense potential for creating high-paying jobs and strengthening the nation's identity if young people are given greater space in the industry, Khairul Rizam stated in a statement. He also revealed that the outlines of these two initiatives have been presented to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, outlining their concepts, implementation, and desired impact targets.

MFIX is envisioned as a national ecosystem and digital platform connecting young content creators, video makers, animators, and technical enthusiasts with international publishers, investors, and consumers. The platform will provide job listings, industry training, and pitching spaces to assist creative enthusiasts in securing employment opportunities and expanding their markets, Khairul Rizam explained.

Batik Seri Madani, on the other hand, focuses on elevating heritage by blending traditional block printing techniques with contemporary design forms, digital technology, and the values of Malaysia Madani to give birth to a new generation of batik artists and creative entrepreneurs. The initiative has the potential to open up opportunities for more young batik makers, designers, creative entrepreneurs, and business owners to showcase Malaysian batik products in wider markets, he added.

According to him, the organization will collaborate with the Ministry of Communications, Finas, educational institutions, and the private sector to develop KPI-based performance models.
