MBWP perkenal 2 inisiatif berimpak tinggi untuk orang muda

The Youth Parliamentary Council (MBWP) introduced two high-impact initiatives, Batik Seri Madani and Malaysia Film Industry Expo (MFIX), to broaden job opportunities and strengthen youth engagement in Malaysia's creative economy. Presiding over the introduction, Khairul Rizam Abu Samah explained that these ideas were designed to commercialize local works, showcase the creative talents of young people, and position youth as the owners of creative economies through roles as entrepreneurs, intellectual property holders, and strategic partners for the industry.

The MBWP emphasized that the creative sector has significant potential to create high-income jobs and strengthen national identity, provided that youth are given more significant involvement in the industry. Addressing the Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, on Monday, Rizam detailed that the proposals for these initiatives were elaborated, including their concepts, execution, and the desired impact targets.

MFIX is envisioned as a national ecosystem and digital platform connecting young content creators, video editors, animators, and technical enthusiasts with international publishers, investors, and buyers. It also offers job listings, industry training, and pitching spaces to help creative professionals secure employment and expand their markets, according to Rizam.

He highlighted that Batik Seri Madani focuses on reviving heritage by blending traditional block printing techniques with contemporary design, digital technology, and the core values of Malaysia's Madani era to nurture a new generation of batik artists and creative entrepreneurs.

These initiatives are expected to provide more opportunities for young batik artisans, designers, creative entrepreneurs, and those looking to bring Malaysian batik products to wider markets, Rizam said. His office will collaborate with the Communications Ministry, Finas, educational institutions, and the private sector to develop clear performance indicators (KPIs) for these programs.
