Maulud: Yusuf Urges Muslims to Emulate Prophet Muhammad

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has called upon Muslim communities throughout Nigeria to emulate the exemplary character and noble virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) during this year's Maulud celebrations. In a goodwill message to Muslims across Kano State and the nation, Yusuf emphasized the importance of reflecting on the Prophet's life, teachings, and conduct, with a particular focus on virtues such as peace, justice, compassion, honesty, patience, and tolerance. These values, he urged, should be integrated into the daily lives of Muslims.

Yusuf went on to encourage Muslims to foster peaceful coexistence, unity, and mutual respect among people of diverse backgrounds. He appealed to parents, religious leaders, and community elders to take proactive steps in educating younger generations about the teachings and exemplary behavior of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The governor expressed hope for continued peace, stability, and prosperity in Kano State and across Nigeria, urging citizens to support initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of the populace.

Additionally, Yusuf extended his wishes for a peaceful and spiritually enriching Maulud celebration to Muslims, urging them to employ the occasion as an opportunity to pray for peace, progress, and unity throughout the country. He also extended his best wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, hoping for their success in their initial term and a smooth re-election campaign in 2027.
