maiao: Gerrit-style stacked diffs for GitHub, Cursor Origin, GitLab, Codeberg and more

Maiao is a community fork of the original adevinta/maiao project. Due to the original maintainers no longer being at Adevinta and the upstream repository being unmaintained, this fork continues its development under the name runetes/maiao. This tool implements a Gerrit-style code review workflow for various Git hosting providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Gitea, Forgejo, Bitbucket Cloud, and Cursor Origin.

It allows users to break down large features into smaller, more manageable commits, with each commit functioning as its own pull request or merge request. Maiao automatically detects the Git hosting provider from the remote URL for known hosts, and for self-hosted instances, it prompts the user to select a provider upon first use, saving the choice to the git config maiao.provider.

The tool treats GitHub native stacked PRs as a progressive enhancement, probing the Stacks API when multiple PRs are pushed and registering them as a stack if supported. On older GitHub Enterprise instances, this feature is silently skipped, but branch-based stacking still functions as before. Maiao employs the stacked diffs methodology, providing users with a seamless GitHub PR management experience from the command line.
