Lee asks for unity in meeting with newly elected leadership of ruling party

The president's comments came at a time when tensions remain from the recent leadership race, which pitted those loyal to Lee against supporters of the former DP leader, Jung Chung-rae. Lee also called on the new leadership to offer their policy support to the government and the presidential office, emphasizing that strong cooperation between the three institutions could lead to tangible improvements for the people.
