Kerjasama PAS-Umno dijangka jadi ‘usul wajib’ muktamar, kata Takiyuddin

PAS and Umno political cooperation is expected to be among the "obligatory preferences" discussed at the 72nd PAS Muktamar, according to PAS Senior Secretary General Takiyuddin Hassan. The Senior Secretary General stated that the issue of ummah unity and the political alliance between PAS and Umno are considered mandatory preferences.

This was said after he attended the National Consultation Forum 'Realiti dan Persepsi: Jangan Mempolitikkan Tabung Haji' earlier today. The 72nd PAS Muktamar is scheduled to take place in Kelantan on September 4, with the inauguration by President Hadi Awang. On the previous day, Umno President Zahid Hamidi confirmed that his party would send a representative to the Muktamar after receiving an invitation from PAS.

In related news, Takiyuddin also mentioned that the cooperation talks between Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Barisan Nasional (BN) for PRN Melaka so far have been positive. He added that the talks are still ongoing to determine the methods and forms of cooperation that will be implemented. "We have started the talks but have not reached a final decision.

We are still in the discussion stage to decide the methods and forms of cooperation that we will implement. However, the development of the talks so far has been very positive. I can say it is very positive," Takiyuddin said.
