‘I have given her the keys’: Sohail Khan on co-parenting with Seema Sajdeh

Actor Sohail Khan has opened up about co-parenting his two sons with ex-wife Seema Sajdeh in an interview on the reality show Alliance. Khan, who expressed that he was struggling with work at the time of their separation, emphasized that his children live with him. He conveyed deep respect for Seema, stating, "More than love, I respect Seema a lot."

Despite their separation, the former couple appears to be maintaining a healthy relationship for their children's sake. Sohail revealed that she visits the children every few days, as often as three to four times per week, by mentioning, "I have given her the keys." He further explained that they aim to shield their children from any parental conflict, assuring them that both parents love them equally and work together as parents.

Psychologist Rasshi Gurnani highlighted the importance of emotional security for children during parental separation, stating that children fare better when both parents remain emotionally safe and consistent figures in their lives. She emphasized that healthy co-parenting does not require parents to live together but rather focuses on maintaining stable and respectful relationships, communicating directly about parenting decisions, and avoiding conflict in front of the children.

Gurnani summarized that children thrive when important relationships remain consistent, even after separation.
