Hannah Einbinder Supports Mark Ruffalo & Describes Antisemitism Accusations As “Ludicrous”

Hannah Einbinder is standing up for Mark Ruffalo after he came under fire for comments criticizing the Ellison family and the proposed merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. The actress called the notion that Ruffalo is antisemitic "ludicrous." In an Instagram Story post on Monday, Einbinder explained why she believes Ruffalo's remarks were not based on his target's Jewish heritage.

She argued that pointing out the Ellisons' role in providing military technology to Israel during a conflict and their recent media dominance is not antisemitic. Instead, Einbinder suggested Ruffalo was criticizing powerful right-wing technocrats who are involved in the largest media acquisition ever. Her arguments included Safra Catz, Oracle's executive vice chair, who has supported Israel's IDF with "profoundly scary technology," and Larry Ellison, who has donated millions to Donald Trump's political campaigns.

Einbinder maintained that Ruffalo's comments were directed at these right-wing technofeudalist oligarchs, not at the Jewish Ellison family.
