Gunmaaster G9 teaser: Emraan Hashmi returns as a lover after Awarapan 2’s Rs 200 cr success

Emraan Hashmi is set to return as a romantic hero in Gunmaaster G9, following the blockbuster success of Awarapan 2, which grossed Rs 200 crore worldwide in just 12 days. The nearly 90-second teaser, unveiled today, offers a glimpse of the actor's new character, Gunmaaster, without divulging too much about the plot. Directed by Aditya Datt, the action drama stars Genelia Deshmukh as the lead, alongside Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Singh, Snehil Mehra, and Inayat Verma.

The teaser begins with Emraan's voice saying, "Give me the worst death. Cut me into pieces and feed me to the vultures. My only request to Mahadev is that don't kill me until I reach my love." The text on screen then reads, "Emraan Hashmi reloaded as Gunmaaster G9." Set against a backdrop of a deserted location and armed police officers, the visuals hint at a world of underworld and mafia, but with a romantic twist.

While the teaser does not reveal much about the other characters, it gives off a vibe similar to Tere Ishk Mein, with a musical twist reminiscent of Himesh Reshammiya. Gunmaaster G9 is set to release on November 27, building on Emraan Hashmi's recent career high with Awarapan 2's success.
