Getting Jobs in Saudi Arabia Will Soon Get Much Easier for Pakistanis

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are working on a new agreement to streamline the process of hiring Pakistani domestic workers for employment in the Kingdom. The primary focus is on improving worker protection, welfare, and ensuring safer migration practices. This agreement will build upon the existing General Agreement on the Recruitment of Workers, which was signed by both nations in 2021.

However, the updated framework will be tailored specifically to address the unique needs of domestic workers and their employment requirements in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has sought approval from the Federal Cabinet to sign the new agreement, potentially during an upcoming visit from a Saudi delegation to Pakistan.
