gamescom Opening Night Live 2026: Everything Announced

Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, a two-hour event packed with game announcements, concluded with a diverse lineup of reveals. The show featured a new co-operative action game Nodus Fall from Genshin Impact developer Hoyoverse, as well as a strategy spinoff Rainbow Six Tactics launching in 2027. The first cinematic look at Gears of War's villain and Ananta, a free-to-play open-world RPG slated for January 15, 2027, were also presented.

Rainbow Six Tactics, Silent Hill Townfall, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, and Sea of Remnants all received new story trailers. Crimson Desert Enhanced, Tides of Annihilation, and Lofsong were revealed with additional gameplay and story details. Megaman Dual Overdrive, which launches in 2027, and a crossover Pragmata skin were also announced.

Rayman Legends Retold, PUBG Ded Net, Control Resonant, and The Blood of the Dawnwalker were unveiled with new gameplay trailers. Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, Dust Origins, and Warlock were revealed for early 2027, while 1001 Threads of Mizan and Silver Palace: House of Greed were announced as new narrative games. Monster Hunter Outlanders, a mobile spinoff, and Metro 2039 received new trailers ahead of their releases.

Hitman World of Assassination - The Herbalist, featuring rap legend Snoop Dogg, launched for free on August 27. Aion 2, Afterworld, and Pony Island 2: Panda Circus were also announced. Lego Skylines, Transport Fever 3, and Exterminants were revealed with trailers ahead of their September 26 and 2026 launches, respectively. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered was announced as a free upgrade with new content.
