Galaxy S27 Ultra’s major redesign detailed in new renders, price hike rumored

Samsung's Galaxy S27 Ultra is set to undergo a significant redesign, according to recent leaks. @OnLeaks and Android Headlines have shared CAD-based renders of the device, which seem to be accurate based on their previous track record. This redesign marks a departure from Samsung's previous insistence on its vertical camera design as the "core identity" of the phone.

The new Galaxy S27 Ultra features a camera plateau similar to the iPhone 16 series, while retaining the overall shape of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It is expected to be slightly larger, with dimensions of 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm, only marginally bigger in all dimensions compared to its predecessor.

The device is also rumored to come with a larger battery, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon flagship chipset, and other upgrades. However, it loses a telephoto camera in the redesign. A post on Twitter/X by @phonefuturist suggests that the Galaxy S27 Ultra could start at a price of $1,499, a $200 increase from the current S26 Ultra. While this claim is not unreasonable, it should be taken with a grain of salt due to the account's track record.
