Fugitive wanted over Germany machine-gun murder attempt arrested in Valencia

Spanish police have apprehended a fugitive in Valencia who authorities in Germany had issued a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) for, stemming from a 2025 attempted murder with a machine gun. The suspect was part of a planned attack against an individual after leaving a social venue, where three alleged accomplices took roles in the crime.

One of the fugitives is believed to have surveilled the victim prior to the assault, during which the assailants opened fire, severely wounding the victim. Spanish National Police, in collaboration with Europol and German police, apprehended the suspect, who was located in Valencia after the European investigation uncovered his hiding spot.

The prosecution plans to seek life imprisonment if the suspect is convicted. During the arrest, police seized three loaded firearms, electronic devices, and a significant amount of cash.
