Four arrested for allegedly demolishing classroom, selling materials in Kano

The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has arrested four individuals over allegations of demolishing a classroom at Unguwa Uku Primary School in Tarauni Local Government Area, Kano State. The PCACC chairman, Malam Saidu Yahaya, revealed that the investigation was prompted by a complaint from local residents regarding the destruction of the classroom.

Yahaya stated that preliminary findings showed that the school's head teacher, along with some members of the School-Based Management Committee and the Education Secretary of Tarauni Local Government Area, allegedly conspired to demolish the classroom and dispose of the iron rods and roofing materials without proper authorization from the relevant authorities.

Four suspects have been apprehended in connection with the case, and they will be brought to court following the completion of the investigation. Yahaya urged the public to report any attempts to vandalize or unlawfully dispose of public and community assets to ensure that appropriate authorities can take the necessary action.
