Five of a family end their lives in Srisailam

In the temple town of Srisailam, five members of a family, including three women, took their own lives, according to reports. Financial difficulties are suspected as the cause of the tragic event, with sources indicating that the family, originating from Battalapalli in Sri Sathya Sai district, had been residing in Srisailam for about a month.

They were staying in a choultry and remained confined to their room for three days. The management of the choultry detected a foul odor coming from the family's room and forcefully entered on Tuesday morning. Upon entering, police discovered two males dead in the room and three women deceased in the bathroom. Preliminary investigations showed that one of the men operated an auto, and the family had come to Srisailam with him, incurring significant debts that he was desperate to repay.

The family's relatives were notified of the incident. Individuals experiencing distress or contemplating suicide are advised to seek assistance and counseling by contacting the provided numbers.
